A new puppy…

What do you do when you’ve found great homes for all 11 puppies in your recent homebred litter? You get a new puppy, of course … I was definitely not planning on getting a new puppy when Scott Mazer suggested I should come along to see a litter by SBIS GCh. Counterpoint Painted by Bohem, SC (Viggo) in Arizona. The dam, GCh. Arwen’s Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, is a daughter of Ch. Bohem Just In Time, and the granddam is a daughter of SBIS Ch. Bohem Three Ring Circus. (In fact, the granddam was a litter sister to our 12-year old Ch. Arwen Glitterati of Bohem, who was never bred.)

Naturally, I fell in love with one of the puppies right away, and Arwen Bohemian Rhapsody joined us as a 3-month-old at the Palm Springs shows in the New Year, 2019. She is, of course, called Freddie, is totally delightful and in many ways reminds me of the foundation for Bohem in America, multiple SBIS Ch. Whippoorwill Bohem Aria (Beebe), whom I got as a stud puppy from Dr. Barbara Henderson in 1983. Beebe is several times in Freddie’s pedigree through SBIS Ch. Bohem All About Eve (Annie), great-granddaughter of Beebe and great-great-granddam of Freddie.

Thanks to Freddie’s breeder Lisande Donohoe for a wonderful puppy!
